The short version
Nothing you paste into the thumbnail tool, and no image you load into the resizer, is ever sent to this site. Both tools run inside your browser. What this site does use is third-party advertising and analytics, and those partners set cookies — that part is explained in full below.
What the tools do with your data
Thumbnail downloader. Your browser reads the video ID out of the link you paste and builds direct addresses to that video's thumbnail images. For YouTube links those addresses point at Google's image servers. For Vimeo links your browser makes one request to Vimeo's public API. In both cases the request travels directly from your browser to YouTube or Vimeo. It does not pass through this site and is not logged here.
Resize and compress tool. This runs entirely through the HTML canvas element in your browser. The image you choose is never uploaded anywhere, including here. It is processed in local memory on your own device and offered back to you as a download.
Cookies and advertising
This site displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense. To do that, Google and its partners place cookies in your browser and read them on later visits.

Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and which are broken. It records aggregate information such as pages viewed, approximate region, device type and referring site. IP anonymisation is enabled. Analytics data is not used to identify individual visitors and is not combined with anything else about you.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data with the official browser opt-out add-on, or by using a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts.
Hosting and server logs
Like effectively every web server, the infrastructure hosting this site keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention and reliability. These logs are not used for advertising or profiling and are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
What this site never does
- There are no user accounts and no registration, so no names, emails or passwords are collected.
- No video links you paste are stored, logged or transmitted to this site.
- No images you load into the resizer are uploaded anywhere.
- No personal information is sold, rented or traded.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection over personal data held about you. Where advertising cookies are used, they are placed on the basis of consent, which you can withdraw at any time through your browser settings or the opt-out links above.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of personal information. This site does not sell personal information.
Because this site holds no account data, most requests are best directed to the third parties named above. For anything else, use the contact page.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please get in touch and it will be removed.
