vivo T2 Pro Unboxing And First Look

Introduction

Friends, we have the Vivo T2 Pro here. The T2 was launched 4-5 months ago & now we have the Pro variant. And let me tell you clearly that the iQOO Z7 Pro that came out a few days ago has very similar specs & price range. It’s going to be a little less than that, around Rs 20-23K.

vivo T2 Pro Unboxing

I’m not sure when I’m unboxing it but it looks different. Let’s unbox the white box, golden lettering & curved display. It’s a curved display. In this segment, I think it’s one of the slimmest phones for sure. You can tell just by touching it. There’s a clear case, documentation, a big brick, a 66W charger, USB Type A to Type C charging cable & the humble sim card. That’s all there is in the box, let’s keep it aside & look on the phone. It’s a different colour!

I like the design! You should look forward to the design of Vivo phones. It’s a very good design, it’s shimmery with a kind of marble finish. Vivo says it’s a sand dune gold design. It looks beautiful. It looks very nice & premium. It’s glossy but I’m noticing that there aren’t many fingerprints. So that’s definitely a good thing. It feels slightly big in the hand. There’s a scratch guard, let’s remove it. I think it’s 7.36mm, it’s thin & despite being big, it feels light in the hand. It’s around 180-182g. It’s 175.4g. But since it’s so big, I thought it’d be a little heavy. It’s an AG glass, let’s see.

vivo T2 Pro Ports & Buttons There’s a sim card tray at the bottom. There’s a microphone, USB Type C, speaker grill. There’s nothing on the left hand side. There’s a noise cancelling microphone on the top & a volume rocker on the right. And there’s a power on/off button.

There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor as there’s no side mounted AMOLED display. So there’s an in-display fingerprint sensor. The in-hand feel is amazing but it’s a big phone. If you have small hands, it’ll feel a little big.

Display

It’s big because it has a big 6.78” FHD screen with vivo T2 Pro Display 120Hz fast refresh rate. And it’s bright with 1300 nits brightness. And yes, there’s an SGS certification for low light. So if you see more in low light, it won’t be a problem for your eyes. So that’s the curved display.

It’s a big display. The side bezels are non-existent because of the curved display. And the chin & upper bezels are very thin. It’s definitely a modern curved 3D curved display.

vivo T2 Pro Performance

In terms of performance, it’s the same as the Z7 Pro. It has a Dimensity 7200 SoC with an Antutu score of 7L. It’s excellent, there’s no question about it in terms of performance. It’s one of the best in the price range. There are 2 variants, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage & 8GB RAM 256GB.

There’s an LPDDR4X RAM type & UFS 2.2 storage type. And there’s 66W charging, 0-50% in about 20-23 minutes.

In terms of performance, you can play on medium to high settings. But you get 60FPS gaming. You can play PUBG, COD Mobile, etc. 60FPS & smooth gameplay.

In terms of performance, it’s absolutely. In terms of thermals, there’s a 3K vapour cooling chamber. Because of which the thermals are in check & it doesn’t get too hot. I was thinking that it’s actually a BGMI, but PUBG is still in my mind. How many of you still call BGMI as PUBG? FunTouch OS 13 is available, which is obviously based on Android 13.

vivo T2 Pro OS & UI

There are 2-year major updates & 3-year security updates. There’s 8GB virtual RAM support. There are 3rd party apps like Hot Games, Hot Apps, etc. You can uninstall them, but yes, there are 3rd party apps.

vivo T2 Pro Multimedia

Because it has a big screen, so if you want to watch. Netflix or YouTube videos on a big screen. It’s going to be a lot of fun! Colours are absolutely great, no question about it. So the video viewing experience is going to be great. But there are mono speakers. They’re good in terms of loudness, but there are no stereo speakers.

Sensors

There’s an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock.

vivo T2 Pro Connectivity

In terms of connectivity, there’s 5G, 10 bands support. In India, there’s a dual 4G VoLTE Wi-Fi calling support. There’s Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3 support. NFC is not there. Let’s talk about the camera, and definitely there’s a mistake here.

vivo T2 Pro Camera

There’s a 64MP OIS sensor & the other one is 2MP. But we’ve clicked a lot of photos of the primary sensor. I’m actually surprised that they came out so well. Even the selfie sensor is 16MP. But these 2 primary sensors, the selfie & rear primary sensors. They click some great photos for sure. Ultra wide is not there, that’s a miss.

Because of the OIS, the low light photos are good. We’ve clicked a lot of low light photos, we’ve stored them in the original quality.  Go & check it out if you’re looking at this phone. And there’s an Aura ring for low light photos. If I talk about the videography you can shoot videos in 4K 30FPS. If I talk about the features, there’s a Pro Sports Mode, so you can click fast paced action.

There are different filters in the videography. If you choose the filters, you’ll see the preview when you’re shooting. And there’s a dual mode so you can use the front & rear cameras at the same time. So these features are there.

If I talk about the small features, there’s Widevine L1 certification, SAR value & within limits. There’s no notification light, no FM radio. That’s all for this post until the next one, Keep hamaridunia.com

& Stay Safe!
